Assistant Professor at the New York Institute of Technology

I served as full-time, tenure-track professor and curriculum lead for the structural engineering courses in the School of Architecture and Design.

My charter from the Dean was to revise the curriculum for a modern technology focus. Some of the improvements included introducing parametric 3D modeling and FEM analysis with tools like Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Inventor.

As part of the school's NAAB accreditation, I developed a Ruby-on-Rails application for the collection and presentation of student work. Deployed on Heroku and AWS S3.

My research portfolio included a macOS application called OpenManifold, which was funded by an Institutional Grant for Research and Creativity, and a set of interactive structural visualization tools for students to design and analyze structural configurations in real time with Processing and Java called Interactive Structures.
